Common mistakes entrepreneurs make in regards to culture are: You think culture just happens; You only hire your friends; You think hiring more people means success; You spend too much money on perks to compete with other startups; You overwork people in pursuit of the product; You don’t fire jerks because they’re smart; You believe the rules don’t apply to you. Mistakes happen to the best, but it’s certainly worth trying to mitigate and learn from what others have already learned the hard way before you.
